Michael Caine may be best known as Bruce Wayne’s butler Alfred Pennyworth in the Batman film series, but there’s more to this British film icon. Well, he wouldn’t be called an icon for anything. He may have made a name for his distinctive Cockney accent, but it’s Caine’s great acting talent that brought him to the pedestal with more than 130 movie credits to his name in a career spanning over six decades.

He is also one of the most bankable stars in recent times. As of February 2017, the films that the veteran celebrity made had grossed about $7.8 billion worldwide. Caine is even the 20th highest-grossing box office star. Some of his best movies are Zulu, The Ipcress File, The Muppet Christmas Carol, and many others. Fast forward to today, at the age of 87, Caine has four upcoming films, including Now You See Me 3.
