George Maharis
The iconic American actor, known for his charismatic personality and Mediterranean good looks, became one of the most talked-about Hollywood actors in the 60s. As handsome and good-looking as he seemed, he never got the career recognition he deserved, mostly because his popularity dwindled when they found out he was gay. As some of you know, it was a time where Hollywood was not entirely liberal about having gay actors in the industry when compared to now.
Despite that, he was able to star in various television and film appearances throughout his tumultuous career, with his last few years saw him focusing on impressionistic painting. George went to retire in the 1990s and claimed that he has no plans of returning to the industry. However, for a man of his old age, he’s still in excellent shape, and it’s glad to see that he’s made some personal investments in maintaining his health.
