Leslie Caron

The famous French-American actress Leslie Caron first launched her acting career as a ballerina discovered by Gene Kelly to cast opposite him in the musical comedy film An American in Paris. Her performance in her role opened to her a long-term contract with MGM, which landed her parts in other musical films such as the big-screen adaptation of Cinderella, The Glass Slipper, Lili, Daddy Long Legs, and Gigi.

She also starred in dramas such as The Man with a Cloak. With all her investments in her dancing and acting, she has reaped the benefit of being a recipient of various awards such as a Golden Globe, two BAFTA, and a Primetime Emmy awards. At her age, she doesn’t seem to slow down. In fact, in 2020, she lent her voice in the Christmas dance-drama film A Christmas Carol. Even as a reluctant Hollywood star, Leslie earned awards and recognitions, including a star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
