James Tolkan

Now retired character actor James Tolkan is famous for his credit roles in Love and Death, Top Gun, Masters of the Universe, and Drick Tracy. But of all his screen characters, his most memorable would be portraying Mr. Stickland in the science fiction film series Back to the Future, parts 1 through 3. All through his acting career, he also made appearances on various TV shows such as The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Naked City, Remington Steele, and Miami Vice.

Though his works were mostly on TV series or films, he also had voice acting credits in video games as Commander Hondo in Top Gun. In 2015, he capped off his Hollywood career with his role as The Pianist in the independent cannibal horror film Bone Tomahawk. Many might wonder where he learned his acting style, and for sure, he must have developed it from years of pursuing and studying the arts.
