Gavin MacLeod
Gavin MacLeod is a known actor and Christian activist whose Hollywood career spanned 60 years and started in 1957 when he got a part in The Sword of Ali Baba. He was then credited for his role opposite Anthony Franciosa in A Man Called Gannon, opposite Christopher George in the Delux-colored film The Thousand Plane Raid, and opposite Clint Eastwood, Telly Savalas, and Carroll O’Connor in Kelly’s Heroes.
He also appeared in the TV series McHale’s Navy, The Mary Tyler Moore Show but became most famous for his credit role as the ship’s captain in The Love Boat. Though we rarely see him now on TV and in movies, he, up until now, remains active as an actor. Gavin’s recent work was starring in the play Happy Hour at Rancho Mirage, California, where he is again recognized for his acting.
