Wes Brown – Alderley Edge, £2.45 Million

It seems Alderley Edge has become a popular choice for football players as it also attracted the likes of ‘Manchester United’s former defender Wes Brown. The athlete purchased the lofty contemporary mansion after more than a decade of hard work as a sportsman, and based on its striking façade; he made a good call!

Brown only held on to the five-bedroom residence for a few years before he decided to sell it at £4.5 million, which is almost double its original price. With ample facilities like a sauna and a pool, Brown assumed someone else would quickly snatch it from the market. Unfortunately, he had to cut back the amount as there weren’t any potential buyers interested – Too bad.
